On 7 October, after session III, there was a General Assembly held only for BPO members. During the vote, a new Chairman of the Baltic Ports Organization was elected. Alan Aleksandrowicz, Vice-President of the Management Board for Finance and Security at the Port of Gdańsk Authority was appointed.

At the same time, Kimmo Naski, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Port of HaminaKotka Ltd, Port Counsellor, who held the position of the Chairman of the Baltic Ports Organization from 2018 to 2025, resigned.

On 8 October, after session I, there was an official farewell to the outgoing Chairman of the BPO, Kimmo Naski, with BPO Secretary General Bogdan Ołdakowski reading a laudation in his honour. The distinguished outgoing Chairman of the BPO received a standing ovation and said a few warm words in farewell to the Baltic Ports Organization.

The new chairman, Alan Aleksandrowicz, was then introduced and gave a short, inspiring speech about his ideas and plans for the Baltic Ports Organization.
