Port of Luleå is the most northern of the five Swedish TEN-T Coreports situated on the Baltic bay. The port is handling about 8.500.000 tons of goods annually with a focus on material to and from the mining and steel industries.
The port is a gateway to the iron ore fields in northern Sweden and 90% of the iron ore mines within EU have a connection to the Port of Luleå. The Port of Luleå is a key asset for the future and ongoing transformation to a more green steel and mining industry . Our vision is to be “The sustainable link to the world” for the businesses in the arctic region. The Port of Luleå has excellent connections to the hinterland via railway and highway.
